Curriculum

What does your child learn at school each day? Find information about our curriculum subjects here.
This page will tell you all about our NEW CURRICULUM designed by staff with the children of Rendlesham Primary School.  We asked all KS2 children what they wanted to learn about and what excites them...so here after taking into account all of their responses we are very pleased to share with you the first part of our new curriculum.
The whole school follows the same topic.  This term the topic is PLANET EARTH.  Each phase has planned learning around a particular focus from that topic (see document below).  At the beginning of each term the topic will be introduced through an exciting hook.

KS1 had a visit from desert animals to start their topic.

More pictures from classes will follow soon.
Art, science, history, geography, ICT will all be cross-curricular and taught in blocks with an outcome.  These mini outcomes will differ; sometimes a musical response, a piece of art work, a video or presentation, there are endless ways we will celebrate the learning with the children.
