Online Safety

Rendlesham Webwise

In Year 6 we have eight Digital leaders who produce our Online Safety magazine "Rendlesham Webswise". This magazine give tips to both parents/carers and pupils about being safe online and keeps them up to date with the latest trends.

Issue 1 can be read below.

We have had great feedback from pupils and parents so far including this email from a parent:

"Hello

Please could you pass on our thanks to the digital leaders for the fantastic newsletter! What a brilliant idea. I found the newsletter very accessible, with quick and easy info, and have already learnt more about e safety.
I will read the magazine but think the children’s newsletter is very well done and more likely to be read as it gives fab info in bite sized chunks.
We are grateful for this as e safety is always a worry and I’m keen to learn more all the time.
Many thanks Digital Leaders!"

All children in Key stage 1 and Key stage 2 at Rendlesham Primary School have read, understood and signed our Acceptable ICT User Policy.

Rendlesham Primary School provides a basic grounding in e-safety for all students, however, to support this provision for parents and carers, we have listed below some websites which offer more information on some of the risks associated with the usage of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other Social networking websites.

These may be of interest parents and carers looking for more information on the different aspects of online Safety.
