Tag Rugby

On Thursday 17th November a selection of year 5 and 6 boys and girls came together as the Rendlesham Primary School Tag Rugby Team. Some of these children had experience of tag rugby from going to tag rugby club, however other members of the team had very little experience. Irrelevant of the fact the team had not played together before, they outshone all of our opponents winning 5/5 games we played, the sixth being called off due to weather. The team were truly outstanding and every member played a part: from taking tags from the opponents in key areas; assisting trys after incredible runs and; scoring some unbelievable solo trys. You really couldn't have asked for anymore. Although the tournament was not competitive, the team's very humble attitude and sportsmanlike behaviour resulted in the school being one of few who were recognised, therefore given a fair play point in the overall 'Fair Play League' between all of the schools. Well done team!
