Teaching Assistants

Mrs Kate Adams

Description: I am a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

I am now into my third year working at Rendlesham as an HLTA, having previously worked at Grundisburgh Primary School for 12 years. I am thoroughly enjoying working in a very varied role whether teaching a whole class or small groups of children.

Away from school I am the 'Brown Owl' for my village Brownie unit, involved every year in panto playing as part of the comedy duo and I also sing in the local choir. My spare time is spent with my husband, two children and my mad dogs.

Description: I am a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

I work as a HLTA and enjoy the variety my role gives me across the school in both supporting teachers and planning/teaching my own lessons across both keystages. I am happily married and have two boys, one still attends our school. Outside of school I enjoy outdoor activities including countryside walks, fishing and occasionally kayaking. I also enjoy cooking for my family and have also just started baking.

Mrs Trudy Villa

Description: I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

I have been a teaching assistant at Rendlesham Primary School since 2011.  I work in the Nursery each morning and venture out into the main school in the afternoons! I am Elklan and Wellcomm trained and help Nursery and KS1 children with speech and language. My spare time is spent with my two lovely daughters and husband and we love to travel, either around the UK or abroad.  I can also often be seen going out for long walks or pottering around in my garden.

Mrs Sarah Lucas

Description: I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

I have been a teaching assistant for more years than I care to remember and have been at Rendlesham Primary since it opened. During my career, I have worked with all year groups from Nursery to year 6 as a TA and have also worked with individual children giving 1:1 support. I absolutely love my job and would find it hard to think of an occupation that could be more rewarding.

Mrs Becky Harrison

Description: I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six
now and forever.

Description:  I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

I started my Rendlesham Primary School journey volunteering in the Nursery, and soon fell in love with the placed.  The passion and commitment the staff have for every single child made me want to be apart of it!  I've worked in KS1 with Years 1/2 and also as a 1-1.  I have spent the last year working in KS2 as a 1-1 and have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.  I'm looking forward to the next exciting chapter.  I live in Rendlesham with my husband and two children, who attend the school, and enjoy travelling in my spare time.

Mrs Kirsty Kemp

Description: I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

As a teaching assistant I am lucky to have been able to work in both key stages and have found both rewarding in their own way.  Every day is different and I enjoy having to adapt and think on my feet.  I love working together in a team, giving something back to the village we live in.  I am happily married to Matt and together we have two wonderful boys Benjamin and Thomas, Thomas attneds the school.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going on long walks, eating out in nice restaurants and going on Disney cruises!

Mr Kieran Fisher

Description: I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

I have just started my third year at Rendlesham Primary School as a teaching assistant. I started working in schools with Inspire Suffolk as an apprentice sports coach but after helping out and being more involved with Rendlesham, I realised that a more rounded influence on the children's learning was what I desired. Within the school I have continued using my passion for sport to assist where possible: with clubs and co-ordination, while ensuring that I do as much as I can to offer support and assistance throughout the school as the children venture through their years at Rendlesham. I see myself as sporty creative, fun, and supportive also; I am very much into photography and love to be out with my camera.

I started off at Rendlesham working as a Teaching Assistant in the Years 1/2 classes and Aztecs.  I then moved to the Nursery full time as an apprentice and have since completed my NVQ Level 3.  I love working at Rendlesham as it is the most rewarding job.  In my spare time I am a brownie and guide leader in my local village and love spending time with my family and dogs.

Description:  I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

This is my year working at Rendlesham Primary School and I can safely say I really enjoy it and find it very rewarding.  I work mainly with Key Stage 1, but have worked in the upper ends of the school and have been a 1:1 so far.  In my free time I enjoy being active, spending time with my little boy and seeing friends and family.

Mrs Naomi Kersey

Description:  I am a Teaching Assistant at Rendlesham Primary School.

I previously worked at Orford Pre-School for many years, and loved working with little people and wanted to see how the next stage works.  So here I am at Rendlesham Primary School.  I currently work in Aztecs class, which I am enjoying very much and I am being kept on my toes.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and making the most of life.

I have been a teaching assistant Since 2010 and previously worked at Easton Primary School. I have mainly worked across KS2 and supported some 1:1 needs. I love working in a school environment as no two days are ever the same!

I live in Rendlesham and have two boys that attended the school when they were younger. Outside of work I enjoy socialising with friends, running and yoga.
